The sun will never rise in the north and never set in the south. That is impossible. The sun will only rise in the east and set in the west. I can prove because the earth alway spins east to west. It never spins north to south

I forgot to tell you that It would be very funny if the Earth spins up and down on it's axis ( imaginary line in the middle of Earth). That's completely insane.

It impossible because the sun alway rise in the east and set in the west.Because the The Earth rotates towards the east. Or If you have an overcast sky and can't see where the sun is, have a look at the barks of trees - they will have moss growing on the north side because moss prefers to grow in shady, damp conditions away from direct sunlight. So then, stand with your back against the mossy side and put out your left arm and that is East

Hi Ono, I like that you included a discussion of what you would see outdoors and how it could help you in figuring out the cardinal directions (N, S, E, and W). I wonder about your description of finding East and West if you put your back against the mossy side of a tree. If you do this, which way would you be facing? Are your descriptions of the directions to your left and to your right accurate?

No. The Sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Not the exact east and west, except twice a year on the days. The rest of the time the Sun rises north of east and sets north of west in the summer, and rises south of east and sets south of west in the summer. That small difference causes the seasons.

Wow Memi. I am impressed with your understanding that the sun rises and sets a bit north or south of east and west depending on the time of year and that this is the cause of seasons. I hope you will lead your whole class in understanding this!

The sun will never rise in the north and never sets in the south, it is actually, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The Earth is obiting aroud the sun on it's own axis. You will never know when it moves because the speed is so fast and it will never stop so you don't know that it is moving. The earth rotates west to east.

It's impossible to see the sun rise from the north. The sun only rises from the east and sets in the west. Actually the sun does not move the earth is what moves. It only looks like the sun is rising and setting.

Hi NeoLiu. I totally believe that the rising and setting of the Sun is due to the rotation of the Earth. But, isn't it amazing to think that this is what is really happening. I can understand why scientists (and other people) before Copernicus believed that the Earth was the center of the solar system (and the Universe, for that matter).

There is no scientific explanation for the Sun rising from the North and also for the Sun setting in the South. The Sun only rises in the East and Sets in the West.

Sun never rises in the North or sets in South. The Sun always rises on the East and sets in the West. The Earth always rotates around the Sun, East to West. (Not North to South)

The sun will never rise in the North and sets in the South. the sun will always rise in East and will always set at West because the earth rotates around the sun to East and West thats make the sun rise at East and sets at West.

The Sun NEVER RISE and SET in the NORTH and SOUTH. That is not true because the Sun always rise in the east and set in the west. If you don't believe then here's a back up. The earth is facing to the is east and west and if the sun is rising in the north and set in the south then, it should spin like a ball not like a fan.

It's impossible cuz the sun always rise up in the east and set in the west. This happen cuz the earth always move at a same speed and same direction its always rise in the east and set in the west

It is IMPOSSIBLE!!! becuz the sun only rise in the East & sets in the West. It happens cuz the Earth is rotating not the sun for EX: if you can go to a clear spot that you can see the sun with a compass, at dawn the sun will rise in the East & at dusk the sun will set in the west.
